Since it came into force, the Belgian Act of 27 July 1961 on the unilateral termination of exclusive distribution agreements entered into for an indefinite duration and bringing about their effects on all or part of the Belgian territory, has been the source of extensive legal debate in and out of Court, in particular as a result of the sometimes very significant consequences into which the Act's few and concise provisions may result.
