Description : Add The New Turkish Law on International Arbitration to my selection

Until 2001, local and international arbitration in Turkey were subject to the same rules, namely, the provisions of the law on civil procedure. These rules were however not effective in meeting the needs of international arbitration. Conscious of this fact, the legislature has recently passed a new law based on the UNCITRAL Rules and Procedures. With the adoption of this new law, international arbitration in Turkey is now governed by provisions that are more effective and modern.
