The Study of this issue is dealing with the fining policy of both national and EC competition authorities. The first conclusion that we can draw is an increased severity of penalties imposed by competition authorities. In addition, these policies tend towards a new phase of consolidation, with more consistent leniency programs. Finally, the European Parliament has just released a Resolution concerning the improvement of damages actions.
