The revised Swiss Rules of International Arbitration entered into force on 1 June 2012. The main amendments aim at reinforcing the structure and powers of the institution, while ensuring even more efficient proceedings in terms of time and costs. An emergency arbitrator procedure has been introduced for urgent interim measures. The expedited procedure remains popular for parties wishing to resolve their dispute rapidly.
