Contract Managers, whose profession is fully embedded in the implementation of the corporate strategy of French multinationals, are faced with major challenges that most frequently prove to be common but may also be specific to their respective industries. As guardians of the appropriate execution of major contracts, they must also create value in an environment filled with ever-increasing complexity, risks, standards and economic rationale. Yet the specific value of the Contract Manager’s function has not been sufficiently recognized and the profession is struggling to emerge in its own right.
